Butter and Bean Cafe-Tanger Outlets

This is my husband’s and my go-to spot for coffee and a quick bite to eat. It’s hard to share a favorite drink & food item because we have tried something different EVERY time we visited and it has all been DELICIOUS! Although, any of the freshly made muffins warmed up are probably at the top of our list because we never leave without having one. The ENTIRE staff is kind, professional and helpful when trying to decide what to get. We don’t shop the outlets often anymore but when we do, it’s because we went here FIRST! Check it out even if you aren’t going here to shop. You won’t regret it.

We were greeted with a bright, cheerful smile & welcome during our first trip to Butter & Bean Café. London, their new employee, has a great energy of positivity & fantastic customer service. They have a large selection of food items and drinks to choose from. This is much more than a coffee shop! We loved the French Macarons.

What a cute spot in the Tanger Outlets to take a break and get a pick me up while shopping! The menu has something for everyone, from specialty lattes to refreshers and matcha! The teddy graham latte was fantastic (and even had teddy grahams on the top) and the chocolate pistachio scone was delicious (pro tip: get it warmed up)! The atmosphere was perfect for conversation and the staff and baristas were really friendly and quick. Definitely recommend!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ As my wife and I wrap up our overnight stay in Lancaster, we stumbled across this little gem with a name that immediately caught my eye in a Harry Potter-esque way: Butter and Bean Café. (Tell me that doesn’t sound magical!) We both ordered the breakfast burritos, and they were spot on. Packed with everything you’d hope for in a hearty breakfast bite, with just the right amount of zing from the sauce. What impressed me most? The tortilla itself—perfectly made, sturdy but soft, so you could easily one-hand it without the whole thing falling apart. That’s a rare find! For drinks, my wife enjoyed a soothing lemon ginger tea, while I—being a bit of a coffee purist—went for a black coffee. And let me say, it was excellent. Smooth, well-balanced, and honestly one of the better cups I’ve had in a café setting. The vibe here is calm and cozy, the kind of place where time feels slower. My wife even pulled out a book to read, which tells you how comfortable it was. It wasn’t too busy during our visit, which we loved, though I’d imagine opening just a bit earlier (say, before 9) might make it an even more popular stop for early workers and commuters. All in all: wonderful food, great drinks, and an atmosphere that makes you want to linger. Five stars from us—we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Lancaster!

We're in PA for a family vacation and stopped in Butter and Bean on our first morning and wow! Everything was delicious! We had a couple breakfast sandwiches, bagels, and the dill and feta scones. Hands down the best breakfast sandwhich I've had! My son loved his rainbow bagel and he ate the entire thing, which is very rare! The scone was so good and had chunks of feta throughout, if we lived here this would definitely be a frequent visit!

If you are looking for a variety of specialty latte flavors, you have found the spot! Stopped in for the first time and was immediately greeted by the friendly barista! I ordered the delicious S’mores cold brew and the Triple B bagel sandwich. Both were delicious and quick!Would definitely come back again to explore more of their menu. A handful of places to sit and enjoy your treats inside! This is located in the Tanger Outlets, so there is plenty of parking in the free lots.

Delicious quick lunch, and the menu is perfect; some special items within a nice breakfast and lunch range offering variety, but not overwhelming. We had an apple chicken salad and a caprese panini. Enough to fill you, but not stuffed! The drinks were fabulous. I need to try more, had a cinnamon toast crunch chai, she had a strawberry field matcha, perfect on a warm summer day (ok, technically still spring).

Staff was very friendly - helped me out when I didn't know how to order lol. I got an iced caramel latte with marshmallow soft whip on top. SOO good. Far better than big corporate coffee places like Starbucks. Also order a breakfast bagel. That was also really good! I really like the atmosphere. My only complaint would tables (they have a sticky-like texture & they're pretty high up from the booth seats. Other than that, I really enjoyed my first experience here. Will definitely be back again.
